Procedure Text is a text that is designed to describe how something is achieved through a sequence of actions or step. It explains how people perform different process in a sequence of steps. This text uses simple present tenses, often imperative sentences. It also uses the temporal conjuction such as first, second, then, next finally, etc...

Generic Structure of procedure text

1.Goal/aim (or title)

2.Material (not required for all procedural texts)

3.Steps (the actions that must be taken)

Example

Salad Mix

Ingredients:
250 grams or 10 pieces of chicken nuggets
1 carrot, cut into matchstick-like, hard boiled
5 pieces of string beans, cut into 3 cm, boiled
1 piece of lotus, roughly torn
1 green apple, cut into
oil for frying

Dressing:
10 tablespoons mayonnaise sauce
1 tablespoon chili sauce
1 teaspoon parsley, finely chopped

How to prepare:
1. Mix all dressing ingredients and stir well.

Make a salad mix:
1. Fried chicken nuggets, lift and let cool.
2. Tata vegetables and fruit in a container and pour dressing time will be served.
